Printing Material Info
Offset and Digital Printing
Offset: A printing method where ink is transferred from the printing plate to paper, usually using a rubber-covered transfer cylinder.
Digital Printing: Printing from a computer-generated print file directly or indirectly onto paper.
FONTS
- We recommend Postscript and OpenType fonts.
- Avoid using system-specific fonts.
- Include fonts in the PDF file.
IMAGE RESOLUTION Reading accuracy, or the number of adjacent or successive reading points, indicated along a specified distance.
- For digital and offset printing: 300 dpi
- For large format: 150 dpi
- For line art resolution: 1200 dpi Line art = does not contain gradations, for example, illustrations or diagrams.
BLEED AREA (BLEEDS) Area outside the final print's edges to prevent unwanted white borders.
- Bleed area: 3 mm
- Include crop marks in the PDF document.
- If the printed work is colored to the edges, the color area should extend over the bleed area (3 mm) beyond the final edges.
COLORS
- For four-color prints, use process colors, i.e., CMYK colors.
- Black color should be process black (CMYK black, i.e., C100, M100, Y100, K100). This ensures the black tone prints as a deep black.
- Additional colors are defined as spot colors.
- CMYK color profiles:
- Fogra 39 Coated (for coated paper)
- PSO Uncoated ISO 12647 (for uncoated paper)
- RGB colors are also acceptable for digital printing.
PREPARING A PDF
- Place the material in the center of the page.
- Prepare the document one page at a time (not spreads).
- All pages should be the same size and orientation.
- Include crop marks in the document (see section Bleed Area).
CUTTING LINES - DIES AND DIE-CUT STICKERS Die-cutting: Shaping paper or cardboard by cutting it into a specific shape.
- For die-cut material, the cutting line should be in a spot color with overprint.
- Cutting line color: CutContour (100% magenta, i.e., CMYK C0, M100, Y0, K0)
- The cutting line should be a continuous line.
- Line thickness: 0.25 pt
- It’s recommended to submit the material both with and without the cutting line so it can be used with various printing methods.

Roll-up
A roll-up is an advertising stand that is easy to set up and transport.
Roll-ups are ideal for store spaces, fairs, and presentations due to their visibility and portability.
MATERIAL SIZE
- Prepare the material to a size of 84 x 220 cm.
- The visible part of the material is 84 x 200 cm, as 20 cm from the bottom of the material rolls into the Roll-up stand mechanism.
- Therefore, avoid placing image, logo, or text elements in that 20 cm area.
IMAGES
- The image resolution should be between 150-300 dpi.
BLEEDS
- 3 mm bleeds
FILE FORMATS
- The recommended file format is PDF.
- Other commonly used file formats in Adobe software (e.g., EPS, TIFF, JPG) are also acceptable.
